Network Design

When your business experiences connectivity, speed, and efficiency issues related to network design, it can feel like a huge and urgent undertaking. Using wireless survey assessments, onsite surveys, and requirements gathering sessions, our team will identify your goals, challenges, and hidden needs. Our experts will source materials and implement the right network design for your environment. From challenging spaces in manufacturing to life-saving connectivity in hospitals, we've got the solution you need for peace of mind.

Make sure your network is prepared to meet your business and technical needs

Whether you’re looking for a new facility build-out or realizing your current network isn’t meeting your needs, Network Zen is here to help.

Our team does not throw in a one-size-fits-all approach, rather, we analyze the information to determine the best, most optimal, and most functional network design that will bring ‘Zen’ to your network infrastructure and business operations. Your demands of the day-to-day and overall big picture operations will be taken fully into account.

Design for performance, resilience, scalability, sustainability, security, and visibility.

What does network design include?

Defining the requirements, physical network design, logical network design, wireless LAN network design, network security architecture & processes, network design topology & documentation

What are the steps to achieving a custom network design?

  1. Consultation – We will discuss your network pain points, needs and expectations
  2. Onsite Assessment – Our team will come to you to review your current network infrastructure. If you require a brand new network design, we will identify more elaborate information and run tools for further data gathering.
  3. Analysis –  Our network design gurus will analyze the data collected and specific site information.
  4. Proposal – Based on the analysis, we will put together a network design proposal. This may include various options that you can select and includes topology, equipment lists, bill of materials, and more.
  • Defining the Requirements – We will engage closely with the customer to determine and define the overall network requirements to meet business demands.
  • Physical Network Design – We consider the physical aspects of the network. We will discuss and determine hardware vendor, copper and/or fiber cabling, IDF locations, WiFi design, rack layout, power, etc.
  • Logical Network Design – We consider the logical aspects of the network such as determining the VLAN structure, IP Scheme, and other networking standards.
  • Wireless LAN Network Design – We will perform a wireless site survey for a wireless design based on our design methodologies: Greenfield/AP-on-a-Stick survey, predictive, or hybrid.
  • Network Security Architecture & Processes – We design for synchronized security across the entire network with Next-Gen Firewalls and endpoints to help protect your business. Additionally, we aid in business continuity plans for backup and disaster recovery.
  • Network Design Topology & Documentation – We provide a Network Topology drawing as well as further documentation to layout the overall proposed network design
